The Woodbury Athletic Association (WAA) runs some of the largest invitational tournaments in the state with over 180 teams competing across all 3 levels. We pride ourselves on running a top notch tournament that has:

• Well run concessions with plenty of options
• 2024 State Qualifiers: Submitted registration for BOTH MBT & Gopher State bids.

AA Tournament:                             May 3th - 5th

AAA Tournament:                          May 31 - June 2nd

A & 15AA  Tournament:              June 14th - 16th

2024 Woodbury Invitational Tournament Details:

Fee:             $500 Payable to WAA Baseball
Format:        Three game pool play with brackets
Rain-outs:     2 game minimum guarantee; one game played - $200 refund; zero games played - full refund.
Gate Fee:      None
Concessions: TBD.  No outside food allowed.
Rules:          We use MYAS State Qualifier rules that are posted on our website, MBT pitch count.
Bats:            USSSA  or USA stamped bats

State Qualifiers:  

• "X" indicates bid received from MBT/MYAS - as they are announced we will update
• MYAS bids will be announced 1/1/24, but WAA has rec'd MYAS historically every year

We use Tourney Machine for our registration process, it’s great for signing up either one team or an association.  Check or credit cards are accepted.  There will be 50% refund from registration to 60 days of tournament date, no refund for 60 days or less.

• The Woodbury Invitational Tournaments will follow the MBT Tournament Rules.
  • A copy of the MBT rules will be posted to our webpage, MBT Qualifier Rules.
  • Since we are both MYAS/MBT qualifier, we've adopted MBT pitch count rules for al tournaments.
• MYAS/MBT Qualifier bat rules will apply. (USSSA or USA bats allowed)
• The Woodbury Invitational Tournaments will be utilizing the Tourney Machine platform to manage the tournament.
  • All tournament related information and correspondence will be via the Tourney Machine APP (game times, bracket updates, weather-related issues, etc.).
• Proper birth documents should be available if questions are asked.
• Completed Concussion Training Certificates & Child Safety Training will be required and  verified for rostered coaches.
• All teams will be required to supply (1) new baseball at the start of every game.
• Divisions that have 6 teams (2 pools), you will see that all teams in your pool play the other pool.  That way you get 3 games in against like opponents.  To determine top 4 seeds that move on to bracket play, we will rank all 6 teams collectively, from there top 4 move on to Sunday.
• Divisions that have 14 teams.  Top team from each pool will advance, along with 2 wildcards for a total of 6.  Tiebreakers will be in place to determine all seedings.

• Weather Policy: Teams having played 2 games - no refund, teams having played 1 game 50% refund. Rained out tournament full refund.
