WAA Football Board Member Policy

The WAA Football Board is comprised of at least 8 (see below) and not more than 11 members. The Board is responsible for managing the business of the WAA Football program. The Board is responsible for maintaining the overall policy and direction of the program. The Board may delegate responsibility for portions of the day-to-day operations to members of the board and/or appropriate committees.

The WAA Football Board will generally be made up of the following positions (required positions indicated by a “*”):

Chairman and Football Director*
Vice-Chairman*
Equipment Manager*
Referee/Field Coordinator
Flag Coordinator*
3^rd/4^th Grade Tackle Coordinator*
5^th/6^th Grade Tackle Coordinator*
Member-at-Large
Web Site Coordinator
Community Education Liason*
Woodbury High School Liason*

Some members of the board may double-up and fulfill more than one of these positions (for example, the equipment manager position is commonly held by one of the grade level coordinators).

Nominations for new board members may be made by members of the existing board at any time. Approval of new board members is accomplished by approval of the Board Chairman/Football Director and needs to meet a simple 2/3rds majority vote by the remainder of the WAA Football Board.

Nominations for the Board Chairman/Football Director position must be approved by the WAA Director (currently Gene Johnson) and a simple 2/3rds majority vote by the remainder of the WAA Football Board.

Guests may be/can be invited to or asked to attend WAA Football Board meetings. The first 15-30 minutes of each meeting will be allotted for guest issues if needed.

The Board shall meet generally on a monthly basis (offseason may require less meetings), at an agreed upon time and location.

Any Board member may be removed from their position without assigning any cause as recommended by the Director and by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the Board of Directors.

Any Board member may resign at any time by giving notice to the Club.

In the event of a vacancy on the WAA Football Board, the Board shall fill the vacancy.
